About Pink Wahoo
People often ask, "Why Pink Wahoo?"
In 2015 Pink Wahoo founder, Claire Aplin, was mulling over business names. She knew that any creative agency worth its salt would need a memorable name that stands out from the crowd. Claire also wanted a name that radiates positivity.
During the head-scratching phase, Claire chatted through ideas with friends and family, a spark flying when someone mentioned "fishing"...
...Fishing? Why fishing?
BECAUSE great graphic design and marketing messages capture customers much the same as fish are caught.
We have to determine which bait we're offering, what types of fish will be attracted to it, and where we'll find said fish. We then need to make ourselves as attractive and available to our 'fish'.
And a Wahoo is type of fish (and a bit like Woohoo). Positive, memorable and with meaning.
(Plus Claire's hair was pink at the time).
